OPAL FRANCES “FRAN” WALKER, 87, of Peoria, IL passed away at 7:15 P.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, Arcola, IL. Rev. Vince Rohn will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Fran was born on October 28, 1925 in Charleston, IL. She was a daughter of Ellis Nolan and Opal Clotilde (Matlock) Logue. She was married to John E. Walker, he passed away in May of 1990.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Clark and her husband Bob of Arcola, IL and Norma Beavers and her husband Bill of Peoria, IL; one brother, William Nolan Logue Sr. of Staunton, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, John and Jimmie Logue.
Fran lived in Rancho Cordova, CA for several years. She had worked for the State of California as a tax collector. She had been a member of the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Lodge of Sacramento, CA. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was considered a “Great Aunt” to many children.
