Pamela Bontrager

PAMELA MAE (BINION) BONTRAGER, 58, of Purdin, MO, passed away at 6:10 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL.  Pastor Lonnie Gingerich will officiate.  Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery.  Visitation will be held three hours prior to the funeral from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pam was born on April 17, 1959 in Tuscola, IL.  She was a daughter of Billy Wilson and Wilma Mae (Snyder) Binion.  She married Sam Bontrager on February 24, 1978 in Arthur, IL.

Survivors include her husband Sam of Purdin, MO, two children: Christopher Wayne Bontrager and his wife Kristen of Decatur, IL, and Alissa Mae Teeple and her husband Nathan of Purdin, MO; eight grandchildren: Tyler, Breanna, Brooklyn, Elayna, Makayla, Bryson, Gracie and Nathan; one great-grandson: Xander; one step-grandson: Ryder; her father, Billy Binion of Arthur, IL; three sisters: Marsha Hayse and her husband Ronnie of Oakland, IL, Debbie Kingery and her husband Andy of Arthur, IL and Angie Ustler and her husband Jeff of Arthur, IL; one sister-in-law, Lydia Binion of Atwood, IL; and her best friend/sister: Lisa Lee of Brookfield, MO.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Wilma Binion; two daughters: Misty Lynn and Nichole Ann; and one brother: Bobby Binion.

Pam was a member of the Bourbon Baptist Church in Bourbon, IL.

She had worked at Rudy’s Smoke Shop in Brookfield, MO for nearly 10 years with her best friend/sister, Lisa Lee.

Pam enjoyed crocheting, keeping up with family and friends on social media, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
