Biography

PAULINE I. TRUEBLOOD, 103, of Hindsboro, IL passed away at 4:45 A.M. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hilltop Nursing Home in Charleston, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, Arcola, IL. Rev. Roger Ashmore will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the funeral home.

Pauline was born on February 27, 1911 in Coles County, Illinois. She is the daughter of Fred C. and Bessie L. (Payne) Kritz. She married James Frederick Trueblood on September 19, 1931 in Champaign, Illinois. He passed away on May 6, 1999.

She is survived by one son, Robert L. Trueblood and his wife Betty of Effingham, IL; one daughter, Lora Kay Little and her husband Lloyd of Tuscola, IL; four grandsons, Terry L. Trueblood and his wife Ruth Ann of Effingham, IL, Kevin L. Trueblood and his wife Pam of Mahomet, IL, Kerry L. Trueblood and his wife Ashley of Petersburg, IL, and Bradley D. Little of Tuscola, IL; one granddaughter: Melinda A. Edrington and her husband David of Arcola, IL, and thirteen great-grandchildren, James Robert and LeAnn Trueblood, Matthew and Jennifer Trueblood, Erica, Clayton and Daxton Trueblood, Monica Edrington and her fiancé Tyler McGregor and Taylor Edrington and Allison, Emily, Erin and Molly Little.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother: Francis C. Kritz, one granddaughter: Brenda Kay Moore, and one great-grandson: Scott Allen Moore.

Pauline was a 1929 graduate of the Hindsboro High School.

She was a member of the Hindsboro Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She had been a member of Eastern Star, Douglas County Home Extension and Senior Citizens. She and her husband Jim owned and operated the Trueblood Café in Hindsboro, IL from 1937 to 1952 and she was a beautician from 1945 to 1963,

Pauline enjoyed camping, fishing, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Hindsboro Christian Church or the Donor’s choice.
