Phillip Yoder

PHILLIP G. YODER, 25, of Arthur, IL passes away at 4:20 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2008 at his residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Otto Center in Arthur, IL. Bishop David Schrock will officiate. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral at the Otto Center. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL.


Phillip was born on July 18, 1983 in Tuscola, IL, a son of Glenn N. and Irma (Herschberger) Yoder.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Irma Yoder of Arthur, IL; one sister Joan Otto and her husband Richard of Arthur, IL; paternal grandmother, Clara Yoder of Arthur, IL; maternal grandparents, Ervin C. and Esther Herschberger of Humboldt, IL; four nephews, Ervin, Willard, Christy and Jeremy Otto and a niece Maria Otto.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Tillie S. Herschberger; his maternal grandfather, Noah J. Yoder; a brother, Richard G. Yoder and two uncles, Willard Yoder and Samuel Herschberger.

Phillip was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
