Priscilla Casteel

PRISCILLA MAE CASTEEL, 86, of Arcola, IL passed away at 5:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Jess Adams will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Priscilla was born on August 29, 1927 in Arcola, IL. She was a daughter of Harry and Margurite (Humphrey) Stewart. She married Willie Eugene Casteel on December 2, 1945 in Arcola, IL. He passed away on November 4, 2000. She later married Wayne Mayer on September 13, 2001 in Arcola, IL. He passed away on January 24, 2013.

Priscilla is survived by two sons Kenny Casteel of Arcola IL and Chuck Casteel and his wife Linda of Mahomet, IL; one daughter, Janice Bryan McNeely and her husband Gerald of Watson, IL, IL; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Stewart of Creve Coeur, IL and two sisters, Phyllis Cruz and Jeanie Rogers both of Arcola, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters, Patsy Jones and Peggy Woolard, one brother, Duane Stewart, a daughter-in-law Wanda Casteel and two nieces Eva and Connie.

Priscilla had worked at Warren Broom Co. and Libman Broom Co. both in Arcola, IL. She also sold Avon for several years.

She had been a member of the Calvary Temple in Arcola, IL

Priscilla was very active and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially the last three years she spent with her sisters. Phyllis had been her constant caregiver.
