RACHEL YODER, 93 of Arthur, IL, passed away at 2:35 A.M. Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Arthur Home in Arthur, IL.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 East Park St. Rev. Glen Rhodes officiated; burial was in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Arthur Mennonite Church. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Rachel was born July 14, 1918 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Yost J. and Tillie M. (Miller) Schrock. She married Jonas D. Yoder November 16, 1940 in Arthur, IL. He passed away January 19, 2005.

Survivors include one son Wesley Yoder and his wife Cathy of Arthur, IL; one daughter-in-law Carol Yoder of Arthur, IL; three grandchildren Shelly Brough and her husband Russell of Arthur, IL, Brandon Yoder and his wife Suzanne of Arthur, IL and Bethany Yoder and her fiancé, Brent Miller of St. Louis, MO; Four great-grandchildren Logan and Megan Brough, and Lily and Greyson Yoder, all of Arthur, IL; two brothers Yost Schrock Jr. and his wife Ella of Sarasota, FL, Levi Schrock and his wife Norma of Elkhart, IN; two sisters Alma Schrock of Arthur, IL and Anna Miller and her husband Wilmer of Elkhart, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son Richard Yoder; two brothers Raymond Schrock and Simon Schrock, and three sisters Hilda Yoder, Lizzie Ann Helmuth, and Gertie Beachy.

She was a member of the Arthur Mennonite Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Memorials were made to the Arthur Mennonite Church or the Champaign County Downs Syndrome Network.
