Ralph Mochel

RALPH DAVID MOCHEL, 65, of Arcola, IL passed away at 4:15 P.M. on Sunday, July 27, 2012 at his residence in Arcola, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home.

Ralph was born on August 11, 1946 in Oak Park, IL. He was a son of Henry “Ralph” and Maxine Mochel.

He survived by his aunt Jane Miller of Buffalo Grove, IL and several friends from the CILA House in Arcola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Terry and Rose Miller and Emma Mochel, his uncle Bob Miller and a long time special friend Earline Strange.

Ralph has lived in Arcola at the CILA House for 15 years. He worked at CCAR Industries in Charleston, IL.

He has participated in the Special Olympics, medaling in the softball throw and the wheelchair race. Ralph was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks. He enjoyed bowling, playing checkers and go-fish, listening to rock-n-roll music on his ipod, photography, being outdoors and dancing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and going to Red Lobster and Bud Light on his birthday.
