REGGIE FAY STUBBLEFIELD, 77, of Arcola, IL passed away at 3:50 A.M. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Arcola Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, in Arcola, IL. Rev. Barry Armour will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the funeral home.

Reggie was born on December 25, 1930 in Red Boiling Springs, TN. He was a son of Robert Richard and Deltha (Newberry) Stubblefield. He married Agnes Armour on May 26, 1952 in Franklin, KY.

He is survived by his wife Agnes Stubblefield of Arcola, IL; one daughter Mitzi Stubblefield of Arcola, IL; one brother Robert R. Stubblefield, Jr. of Hartsville, TN and two sisters, Delno Moore of Franklin, KY and Dovie Sexton of Red Boiling Springs, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lee Richard, Alvis and Louis Stubblefield and four sisters, Nell Johnson, Elsie Daugherty, Della Stubblefield and Daffo Murray.

Reggie was a Christian Man who loved the Lord. He and Agnes moved to Arcola in September of 1952 to farm with Wilburn Johnson, he went to work for Edith Keal in January of 1961. Reggie farmed for Mrs. Keal for 41 years. Reggie and Agnes had been married for 25 years before they had their daughter Mitzi.

Reggie was a wonderful husband and father, he enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.
