Reuben Rocke

REUBEN ABRAHAM ROCKE, 28, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:17 A.M. Saturday September 10, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Ruben Gingerich residence, 261 East County Road 600 North, Tuscola, IL. Bishop Sam Schrock officiated. Burial was in the Otto Cemetery, Arthur, IL. Visitation was anytime prior to the funeral at the Ruben Gingerich residence.

Reuben was born on June 30, 1983 in Mattoon, IL. He was a son of Daniel and Rhoda (Gingerich) Rocke. He married Teresa Sue Gingerich on August 14, 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Rocke; four children, Eric, Amy, Sheryl and Anthony Rocke; his parents Daniel and Rhoda Rocke of Arcola, IL; five siblings, Miriam Nisley and her husband Matthew of Arcola, IL and Lucas, Matthew, Timothy and Hannah Rocke all of Arcola, IL. His mother and father-in-law Ruben and Nancy (Schlabach) Gingerich. His paternal grandparents, Jerry and Catherine Rocke of Arthur, IL and his maternal grandfather, Abe Gingerich of Arthur, IL. Teresa’s grandparents, Morris and Katie Gingerich of Tuscola, IL and Lewis and Mattie Schlabach of Sullivan, IL and brother and sister-in-laws, Terry, Glenda and Kenton Gingerich all of Tuscola, IL.

Reuben was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sarah (Mast) Gingerich and Lena (Kaufman) Rocke, one uncle and one cousin.

Reuben was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
