Rhea Buchanan

RHEA ANN BUCHANAN, 68, of Sullivan, IL formerly of San Diego, CA, passed away at 6:32 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at her son’s residence in Arthur, IL.

A memorial service was held at the Southern Baptist Church Saturday, January 24, 2009. Doug Davis officiated.

Rhea was born June 4, 1940 in Leon, West Virginia. She was a daughter of Delbert and Bernice (Plants) Underwood.

Survivors include her children; Susan Hinton and her husband Dave of Columbus, OH, Jeffery Buchanan and his wife Kendra of Arthur, IL and Melissa Hershey and her husband Andrew of Fredericktown, OH; grandchildren Jeff, Sarah, Brandon and Robbie Hinton; Ian, Will Buchanan and Chrissy, Joel, Emily and Rachel Hershey.

Her parents and two brothers Louis Ray Underwood and David Theodore Underwood preceded her in death.

Rhea retired, after several years of service, from Intuit in San Diego, CA.

She enjoyed painting sewing and knitting.
