RHONDA (STARR) NEELEY, 56, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 12:21 P.M. on Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence in Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Winebrenner Church of God, 300 Illinois, in Mattoon, IL. Rev. Don Pankey will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting Rhonda’s family with arrangements.
Rhonda was born on July 12, 1956 in Mattoon, IL. She was a daughter of Stanford B. Sharp and Laveeta S. Hash. She married Robert S. Starr on August 17, 1973 in Mattoon, IL. He passed away on April 21, 1977.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Hollgarth and her husband Richard of Decatur, IL; three grandchildren, Brady Stockton, Nicklas Hollgrath and Amanda Hollgrath; Her mother, Laveeta Goens and her husband Charles of Mattoon, IL; her father, Stanford Sharp and his wife Donna of Mattoon, IL, two brothers, Kent Sharp and his wife Connie of Beecher City, IL and Bret Sharp of Chester, IL and two sisters, Angie Tanner and her husband Butch of Mason, IL and Chris Myers and her husband Gary of Effingham, IL
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Tonya Sharp.
Rhonda had worked at Hoot’s House in Mattoon, IL for several years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Memorials may be made to Rhonda’s family.
