Carol Ann Edwards

Carol Ann Edwards, 83, of Humboldt, IL passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at her residence.

Carol Ann was born on January 15, 1941 in Mattoon, IL. She was the youngest daughter of Everett and Eunice (Griffith) Henne. She married Samuel David Edwards on February 18, 1967 in Mattoon, IL. He passed away on Sept. 9, 2018. 

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Stewart and her husband David of Bushton, IL, Regina Ceko of Humboldt, IL., two stepchildren, Robert Edwards of Perryville, MO and Teresa Edwards of Mattoon, IL., two grandchildren Ryan Zasareti and Talya Ann Stewart, and her companion Frank Hale of Humboldt, IL.

Proceeding Carol in death were her parents, three brothers, two sisters, one stepdaughter, and her husband whom she shared life with for 51yrs.

Carol lived a simple life in a small town cherishing her time doing things around the home and spending time with her family. Before she lost mobility, she enjoyed going for car rides with no particular destination, just load up the dogs and go! She had a great love for country music. In the last years of her life she enjoyed spending time with her companion, Frank. He cared for her in many ways. They enjoyed listening to records, he played music on the guitar for her and they loved to sing together. Carol was also very fond of her beloved little dog, Honey, who gave her much joy and comfort.

She will certainly be missed by those closest to her. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the Humboldt, IL Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
