Richard Turrentine

RICHARD E. TURRENTINE, 80, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 9:50 A.M. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his residence.

A graveside memorial service was held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Windsor Cemetery. Rev. Ed Stephens will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL assisted Richard’s family with arrangements.

Richard was born on July 7, 1930 in Windsor, IL. He was raised by his grandmother Sciller Turrentine.

He is survived by his children, Beverly, Carolyn, Ritta, Nancy, Rick, Rickey, and Teresa, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his loving dog “Baby”.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Mary Stewart and his grandparents.

Richard had been a construction worker for many years. He did a lot of masonary work in and around Mattoon, IL.

He had been a member of the Moose, Eagles and the American Legion.
