Rose M. Plank

ROSE M. PLANK, 73, of Arthur, IL passed away at 11:15 A.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her residence. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Penn Station in Arthur, IL. Pastor Kevin Schrock will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour before the funeral from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Penn Station. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. 

Rose was born on February 9, 1951 in Terre Haute, IN, a daughter of Paul and Carrie (Ward) Walters. She married William Plank on December 3, 1989 in Tuscola, IL.

She is survived by her husband Bill Plank of Arthur, IL; five children, Rhonda Myree Gabbard of Arthur, IL, Brad Warrior of Prairieville, LA, Tammy Warrior of Arthur, IL, Mike Plank and his wife Lashelle of Arthur, IL and Nikki Plank of Port St. Lucie, FL; 15 grandchildren, with one more on the way, due in September; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Delbert, and three sisters, Carolyn, Margie and Georgie.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Anglea Myree Warrior, one granddaughter, Kirsten Warrior, and three brothers, Herbie, Paul and Milton.

Rose was affectionately known to many as “Nana”. She loved to cook and clean; she loved spoiling her grandchildren and taking care of Bill. She loved spending time with family and friends and going thrift shopping. She enjoyed playing bingo. She enjoyed being outside, and always looked forward to spending time at her Florida home in the Florida sunshine.
