ROSEMARY H. STUART, 78, of Sullivan, IL formerly of Tuscola, IL passed away at 4:41 P.M. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her residence in Sullivan, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Rev. Kenny Bontrager will officiate. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
Rosemary was born on March 29, 1932 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Napoleon B. and Cora Jane (Fleener) Brooks. She married Remus Stuart on March 3, 1952 in Douglas County, IL. He passed away in 1987.
She is survived by one son, Dale E. Stuart and his wife Sharon of Sullivan, IL; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Stuart, serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Kaneohe, Hawaii and Rena Herschberger and her husband Nate of Atwood, IL and one sister Frances Cole of Tuscola, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Irene McGuire and one daughter, Barbara Jean Stuart.
Rosemary had worked at the Garment Factory in Tuscola and Little Fuse. She enjoyed crafts, painting, collecting porcelain dolls and riding motorcycles.
She was a member of the first Christian Church of Tuscola, IL
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
