Ruth Billington

RUTH ILENE BILLINGTON, 90 of Charleston, Illinois passed away at 3:15 P.M. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Ruth was born on August 6, 1921 in Charleston, IL. She was a daughter of Edward O. and Martha (Bulla) Tichenor. She married John H. Sharkey in 1941 in Iowa. He passed away in 1968. She later married Howard B. Billington in 1969 in Wisconsin. He passed away in 1982.

Ruth is survived by one daughter Laura Hackler and her husband Daryl J. of Ashmore, IL and two grandchildren, Blake A. Hackler and Meredith I. Hackler both of Ashmore, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents her husbands, four brothers, Percy, Charles, William and Paul Tichenor and one sister, Elsie Quella.

Ruth was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Charleston, IL.

Ruth had been Vise President for Good Will Industries of Racine, WI. She also worked at Byrd Cleaners in Charleston, IL.

Ruth enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search and crocheting.

Ruth was loved much, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all.
