Sadie Gingerich

SADIE E. GINGERICH, 95, of Arthur, IL passed away at 2:25 A.M. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral Services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. Rev. Wilbur Gingerich officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation was held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Trinity Christian Fellowship in rural Arthur and from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Trinity Christian Fellowship in rural Arthur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Sadie was born on April 16, 1915 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Eli and Amanda (Mast) Schrock. She married Simon Gingerich on January 3, 1935 in Arthur, IL. He passed away on April 21, 1997.

She is survived by three children, Morris Gingerich and his wife Katie of Tuscola, IL, Kenneth Gingerich of Arthur, IL and Gertie Ann Byler and her husband David of Arthur, IL; 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren and three sisters, Rebecca Miller of Arthur, IL, Gertie Mast and her husband Dan of Arthur, IL and Edna Herschberger and her husband Levi of Sullivan, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Levi Eugene Gingerich, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Levi Schrock and three sisters, Amanda Miller, Lydia Gingerich and Sovilla Kauffman.

Sadie was a member of Trinity Christian Fellowship in rural Arthur, IL.
