Sharon Connour

Sharon Connour, 74 of Mattoon, IL passed away at 12:37 A.M. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2018 in the Arcola Cemetery.  Pastor Matt McGregor will officiate.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Sharon was born on July 18, 1944 in Tower Hill, IL.  She was a daughter of John and Hazel (Askins) Boatz.  She married Miles Dwaine Connour on March 21, 1968 in Charleston, IL.

Survivors include her husband, two children, Deanna Shockey and her husband Doug and Tammy Connour all of Mattoon, IL; three grandsons, Miles Scott Connour and his wife Danielle of Charleston, IL, Richard “RJ” Connour and Christopher Shockey both of Mattoon, IL; and four great-grandchildren, Miles Liam Connour of Charleston, IL, Erma Shuey, Levi Connour-Shuey and Clinton Connour-Shuey all of Mattoon, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Sharon loved to crochet, watch game shows, work puzzles, and play Yahtzee.  She enjoyed her family and loved taking care of her grandkids.

Memorials may be made to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center.
