Shirley Ann Smiley

SHIRLEY ANN SMILEY, 72, of Arcola, IL passed away at 4:25 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Rev. Brent Budd Will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Shirley was born on September 21, 1950, in Maceo, Kentucky. She was a daughter of Moorman and Betty (Reel) Smeathers. She married Donald Gary Smiley on June 19, 1967, in Arcola, IL.

Survivors include her husband Donald of Arcola, IL; her children Todd Smiley of Arcola, IL, Troy Smiley and his girlfriend Tianna Doty of Arcola, IL Tanya Ozee and her husband Thomas of Stone Lake, WI; and Travis Smiley of Arcola, IL; 11 grandchildren Trevor, Dylan, Dallas, Tori, Emma, Zoey, Zachary, Parker, Hayley, Aliza and Jaimin; 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 siblings, Bob, Linda, Judy, Yvonne and Teresa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Roger Smiley: one brother Larry and 2 sisters, Wanda, and Ruby.

Shirley was an extremely hard worker.  She had worked at Zenith in Paris, IL, and The Thomas Monahan Company in Arcola, IL. She had worked at Littelfuse, Inc. in Arcola, IL until they closed. Shirley retired from MasterBrand Cabinets Inc. in Arthur, IL this past year with over 20 years of service.

Shirley enjoyed going for walks and bicycle rides around town, and she always looked forward to driving around the surrounding area and reminiscing with her husband. Shirley was a very loving wife, mother, and grandma who will be sadly missed.
