TAMI LYNN KEARNS, 47, of Arcola, IL passed away at 11:03 A.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Rev. Harold Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to service time Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the funeral home.
Tami was born on October 19, 1961 in Mattoon, IL. She was a daughter of Archie E. and Ruth Ann (Secrest) Edwards. She married Kevin Kearns on December 19, 1983 in Tuscola, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Kearns of Arcola, IL; one daughter, Megan Kearns of Arcola, IL; her mother Ruth Ann Edwards of Arcola, IL; one brother, Steve Edwards and his wife Debbie of Arcola, IL, one sister Beverly Edwards of Mesquite, NV and her mother and father-in-law Albert and Joann Kearns of Arcola, IL.
Her dad, Archie Edwards and an infant sister, Connie Edwards preceded her in death.
Tami graduated from Arcola High School in 1979. She had worked at Casey’s General Store in Arcola for several years, where she always had a smile for everyone.
Tami enjoyed collecting animal figurines and especially loved her pet cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she devoted her life to her husband and daughter. She was a great woman with a huge heart who would do anything for anyone.
