TERRENCE PATRICK “TERRY” CYR, 58, of Arcola, IL passed away at 5:15 P.M. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Calvary Temple in Arcola, IL. Rev. Garry Don Richardson and Rev. Henry Schrock will officiate. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Terry was born on August 11, 1954 in Mattoon, IL. He was a son of Patrick and Rita (Meek) Cyr. He married Connie Lofland on December 18, 1989 in Brandon, FL.
He is survived by his wife Connie Cyr of Arcola, IL, two daughters, Marci Adams of Arcola, IL and Mandy Rice of Mattoon, IL; two grandsons, Austin and Garett Rice both of Mattoon, IL; his mother Rita Cyr of Trow Bridge, IL two brothers, Mike Cyr and his wife Donna of Charleston, IL and Tim Cyr and his wife Deb of Trow Btridge, IL; five sisters, Rita Cobble of Gilbertsville, KY, Marty Haarman and her husband Jim of Stewardson, IL, Patty Henne and her husband Everett of Toledo, IL, Mary Keller and her husband Jesse of Humboldt, IL and Toni Bell and her husband Barry of Windsor, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his dad and a son-in-law, Chris Rice.
Terry was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Calvary Temple in Arcola, IL where he served as elder. He was a very gifted artist and he was self-employed as a flooring contractor. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Temple.
