THELMA HALL, 83, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:24 A.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL. Father Al Kemme will officiate. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, in Arcola, IL.

Thelma was born on July 10, 1928 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a daughter of William “Rusty” and Mary (Martin) Medeiros. She married Louis Laverle Hall on October 20, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He passed away on February 20, 2010.

She is survived by four children, Louis Laverle Hall Jr. “Butch” and his wife Janette of Hudsonville, MI, Charles William Hall “Chuck” and his wife Denise of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Steven Michael Hall and his wife Debbie of Arcola, IL and Malia Ann Starwalt and her husband Doug of Mattoon, IL; six grandchildren, Taryn, Taige, Katrina, Kristi, Haley and Leslie, three step-grandchildren, Deena, Lindsay and Leah; eight great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Violet Delgadio and one brother Albert Medeiros.

Thelma had worked at the Del Monty Pineapple factory in Hawaii. She also worked at the Brown Shoe Factory in Sullivan, IL and retired from Schrock Cabinet Factory in Arthur, IL.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL.

She had been a very energetic sports minded parent; going to every sporting event her children were involved in.

Thelma was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She enjoyed knitting, and made many pairs of house slipper for family and friends. She also cooked, canned or put up what produce that wasn’t given away from Louie’s garden.
