Timothy Phillips

TIMOTHY EARL PHILLIPS, 53 of Paris, IL passed away at 12:35 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

A private memorial service will be at a later date. Tim’s ashes will be buried at sea by the US Navy. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL is assisting Tim’s family with arrangements.

Tim was born on May 30, 1956 in Paris, IL. He was a son of Harold Eugene and Nevada Ann (Morris) Phillips.

He is survived by his mother Ann Phillips of Ashmore, IL; five siblings, Kay House and her husband Mike of Ashmore, IL, Ronda Phillips of Ashmore, his twin brother Tom Phillips of Wisconsin, Dianna Evard of Paris, IL and Mike Evard and his wife Jenny of Paris and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Gary Phillips and one sister Judy Phillips.

Tim was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He worked as a first mate for Ingram’s Barge Co. of Nashville, TN for several years.

He was a member of the Paris American Legion Post 211. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, the History Channel and spending time with his family and friends.
