Travis Suter

TRAVIS COLTON (TRAVIS JONATHAN DYER) SUTER, 27, of Decatur, IL passed away at 2:17 P.M. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Saint John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at GT Church, 500 South 27th Street in Decatur, IL Rev. Jeff Rawlings will officiate. Burial will be in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at GT Church in Decatur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Travis was born on April 17, 1986. He is a son of Don L. and Lora L. (Gentry) Suter. He married Angela H. Branch on March 20, 2010 in Monticello, IL.

Survivors include his wife Angela Suter and their son Hunter Cole Suter; his parents, Don and Lora Suter of La Place, IL; siblings, Lacey, Sierra and Adam all of La Place, IL and Amber Suter of Coffeen, IL and Cheyenne Suter of Ethel, MO; his maternal grandmother, Coral Gentry of La Place, IL; paternal grandparents, Paul and Marsha Suter of Herrick, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his father-in-law Doug Branch and Sue of Deland, IL and his mother-in-law Wendy Sebens and Jim of Monticello, IL.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Gentry.

Travis was a 2005 graduate of Cerro Gordo High School. He had been a Volunteer Fireman for the Cerro Gordo Fire Department. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was currently employed with Safelite of Decatur, IL
