Valentine Marner

VALENTINE J. “FELTY” MARNER, 61, of Arcola, IL passed away at 6:30 A.M. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday and Tuesday, April 13th and 14th at the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with funeral arrangements.

Felty was born on August 14, 1953 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of John G. and Katie (Beachy) Marner. He married Lydia Mae Mullet on August 16, 1975 in Middlefield, OH.

Felty is survived by his wife Lydia, five children, Juanita Josephine Marner of Ranson, WV, Heather DeAnn Miller and her husband Drew of Sullivan, IL, Heidi Denise Marner of Sullivan, IL, John Frederick Marner of Harrison, AR and Joshua Val Marner of Arcola, IL, four grandchildren, Emily Joy, Sierra Paige, Olivia Nicole and Mason Drew, two brothers, Andrew J. Marner and his wife Lynn of Arthur, IL and Daniel J. Marner and his wife Irene of White Pigeon, MI, and two sisters, Sarah Ann Henry and her husband Steven of Bement, IL and Dorothy Hostetler and her husband Reuben of Chesterville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Cole Gabriel Miller.

Felty was a member of the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL

He worked at Okaw Truss in Chesterville.
