VERNA MAY (MILLER) YODER, 50, of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:45 P.M. on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Richland County, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the HCK West Building, 300 North CR 000 Easts in Arthur, IL. Bishop Daniel Chupp will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation will be any time after 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2016 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Verna May was born on December 27, 1965 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Jacob W. and Katie Ann (Beachy) Miller. She married Howard E. Yoder on September 5, 1990.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of Arthur; three sons, Larry Ray (Marlena) Yoder of Loogootee, IN, Lamar Jay (Lovina) Yoder Odon, IN and Jeremy Yoder, at home; three daughters, Velma Deanne Yoder, Lenore Ann Yoder and Mary Irene Yoder, all at home; two grandsons, Robert Dale and Ryan Allen; her parents, Jacob and Katie Miller of Arthur, IL; one brother, Lester (Lenore) Miller of Arcola, IL; three sisters, Dorothy (Willis) Helmuth, of Arthur, IL, her twin sister, Velma (Richard) Hostetler of Loogootee, IN, and Mary Fern (Danny Ray) Yoder of Arthur, IL.

Verna May was a keeper at home and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
