VICKIE LEE BAUMANN, 68, of Kemp, IL passed away at 10:42 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2020, at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL, officiated by Bill Fulton.   Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.   Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the funeral home.   We will be observing all social distancing guidelines and a mask would be appreciated.


Vickie was born on August 12, 1951, in Ogden, Utah.   She was a daughter of Ray Lindley and Joy Allene (Cheney) Charlesworth.   She married Gerald Roy Baumann on February 21, 1970, in Mattoon, IL.


She is survived by her husband, Gerald, of Kemp, IL; seven children, Paul Baumann (Angel) of Charleston, IL, Heath Baumann of Kemp, IL, Lee Baumann (Michelle) of Fort Pierce, FL, Jared Baumann (Erica) of Perry, KS, Kevin Baumann (Emily) of Charleston, IL, Melanie Cluver (Chad) of Austin, TX and Charlene Madson (Aaron) of Missouri City, TX; twenty-four grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Haegan, Austin (Maryjane), Rhett, Kolby, Isabelle, Madison, Greyson, June, July, Gunther, Grady, and Garth Baumann, Brock, Brayden, Mackenzie, Kaylee, Kenna, and Bryce Cluver, Cooper, Graham, Callie, and Beckett Madson; one great-grandchild Easton Baumann; siblings Frank Charlesworth, Danny Charlesworth (Kady), Cloann Zimmerman (Paul), Dennis Charlesworth (Jennifer), Rae Lyn Garcia (Miguel), and Cheryl Reynolds.


Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Baumann, and 3 siblings; Starla Richardson, Larry Charlesworth, and Paul Charlesworth.


Vickie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attending in Tuscola and Mattoon.   Vickie held many offices within her church, some of which included, Temple Worker, Seminary Teacher, Young Women Camp Director, and Stake Young Women President.


She was a Girl Scout leader in Arcola for over 20 years and she was also the Arcola Band Booster President for several years.


Vickie drove a school bus for the Arcola School District for many years and also worked as a secretary for Schilling Funeral Home, First Mid- Illinois Bank, and Ramshaw Real Estate.


Spending time with her family was by far her favorite thing to do.  Her children have fond memories of baking chocolate chip cookies, making jam, and creating her beautiful holiday gingerbread houses.   When grandchildren came along they instantly became the object of her affection and attention; she thought each of her grandchildren was extra-special.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 88 of Arcola or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge St. Louis.
