VIRGINIA LEONA LIGGETT, 85, of Humboldt, IL passed away at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November, 22, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Rev. Ivan Jess will officiate. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery in Edgewood, IL.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the funeral home.

Virginia was born on October 27, 1926 in Sutter, IL. She was a daughter of Ralph and Josephine (Jenkins) Jones. She married Rev. Earl D. Liggett on October 28, 1948 in Edgewood, IL. He passed away on February 7, 2002.

She is survived by three daughters, Mickey Liggett, Deborah Liggett and Leona Kay Liggett all of Humboldt, IL and her beloved pets, two dogs, Wyatt and Cody and a cat, Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, two sister, and two dogs, Hershey and Tyler.

Virginia had worked at the Warren Broom Company in Arcola, IL and later at Superior Manufacturing in Mattoon, IL for over twenty years.

Virginia loved animals of all kinds but always had a dog or a cat, most recently she enjoyed watching birds and spending time with her family.
