Walter Wilson

WALTER CLIFFORD WILSON, 89, of Arcola, IL formerly of Meredosia, IL passed away at 12:26 A.M. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Arcola Health Care Center.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Walter was born on January 3, 1923 in Jacksonville, IL. He was a son of Clifford and Lou Ella (Rothwell) Wilson.

Walter was a Navy Veteran of WWII serving from 1942 to 1945. He was stationed in Okinawa and received the Purple Heart.

Walter has resided at the Arcola Health Care Center for the past fifteen years.

He was an avid Chicago Cub fan.
