William Reynolds

WILLIAM JOSEPH REYNOLDS, 61, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Decatur, IL went to be in the loving arms of his wife at 10:00 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2011 at his residence.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Second Church of God, 2670 East Division Street in Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 23, 2011at the Second Church of God in Decatur, IL. Rev. James Sutton, Rev. Rita Briggs and Rev. Donald Sutton will all officiate. Burial will be in the Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL is assisting with arrangements.

William was born August 17, 1949 in Decatur, IL. He was a son of Donald Joseph and Edna Mertyle (Childress) Reynolds. He married Marla Snoke on April 14, 1984. She passed away November 14, 2009.

Survivors include three sons; Randy Reynolds and his wife Kristie of Springfield, IL, William “Andy” Reynolds and his fiancé Rachel Skerl of Evansville, IN and Jeremy “Ryan” Reynolds and his wife Elizabeth of Harristown, IL; one daughter Robin Hushour and her husband Clay of Taylorville, IL; 6 grandchildren, Vince and Lucas Reynolds, Miles, Matthew and Macey Hushour and Abigail Reynolds with one to be born in November; 1 brother John Reynolds and his wife Charlotte of Mt. Zion, IL and 2 sister Donna Williams and her husband Virgil, and Daisy Sutton and her husband James Sr. all of Decatur, IL.

His wife, parents, one son William Reynolds Jr., one granddaughter Karli Reynolds, one sister Sue Kidwell and one brother Edward Reynolds preceded him in death.

William was a member of the North Winds Church in Evansville, IN.

William graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1967. He was an Army Veteran serving during Vietnam in Munich Germany. He enjoyed writing poetry, his dog Ernie and spending time with his family.
