WILLIAM L. "BILL" YOUNG, 69, of Hindsboro, IL passed away at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Bromenn Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.
Bill was born October 16, 1938 in Coles County, IL. He was a son of William L. and Harriett E. (Fleming) Young. He married Patricia A. Harris on March 1, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Arcola. The Youngs celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past spring with their family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Young of Hindsboro, IL; four sons, William Leslie Young and his wife, Kendra, of Moulton, AL, Todd Young and his wife, Charrlette, of Tulsa, OK, Eric Young of Hindsboro, IL and Marc Young and his wife, Mary, of Bloomington, IL; ten grandchildren, Lucas, Joshua, Vincent, Vanessa, Clark, Alex, Joy, Kaitlyn, Josephine and John; one brother, John Young and his wife, Carolyn, of Laguna Hills, CA; one sister, Eleanor Porter and her husband, Ted, of Laguna Hills, CA and one sister-in-law, Barbara Birch of Bement, IL.
His parents, one sister, Margaret Emmons and one brother-in-law, Don Birch preceded him in death.
Bill served as a Sergeant E5 in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church and the Elks Club of Charleston. He was currently serving as Bowdre Township Trustee and Deer Creek Drainage Commissioner.
Bill was a life long farmer, having started farming after graduating from Arcola High School in 1956. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
