Willis Plank

WILLIS A. PLANK, 69, of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:10 P.M. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the family residence, 477 East State Route 133 in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Daniel Rocke will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral at the family residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Willis was born on November 23, 1943 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Alvin J. and Clara J. (Miller) Plank. He married Viola L. Jess on June 10, 1971 in Arthur, IL.

Survivors include his wife Viola Plank; children, Elva Plank and his wife Linda of Arthur, IL, Raymond Plank and his wife Clara of White Hall, IL, Steven Plank and his wife Sarah Lou, Paul Plank, Katie Plank, Daniel Plank and his wife Sylvia Sue all of Arthur, IL and Rachel Miller and her husband David of Kokomo, IN; thirty grandchildren, one brother, Floyd Plank and his wife Sarah of Vienna, IL and five sisters, Irene Gingerich and her husband Adlia of Arcola, IL, Esther Miller and her husband Danny of Vienna, IL, Mary Bontrager and her husband Irvin of Shipshewana, IN, Anna Mae Plank of Arthur, IL and Linda Miller and her husband Ray of Cooks Mills, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Plank and one sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Gideon Miller.

Willis was a retired cabinet maker and member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
